Bio/Admin History:Dr. Michael H. Benn, of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Calgary, researched the life and mountaineering career of Kate Gardiner, who climbed extensively in New Zealand and the Canadian Rockies and Selkirks in the 1920s and 1930s.
Scope/Content:Fonds consists of research papers in the form of letters, newsclippings, notes and photographs pertaining to Kate Gardiner's activities in New Zealand. Photographs date from ca.1925 to 1936 and are mainly by Frank Alack.
