Bio/Admin History:Christina Evelyn Bateman (Henry), 1894-1991, was a resident of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Assistant Registrar at the University of Saskatchewan until her marriage in 1925 to Prof. John V. Bateman. She attended the 1923 Alpine Club of Canada camp and graduated on a climb on Odaray Mountain.
Scope/Content:Fonds consists of album in two sections. First part documents the 1923 ACC camp in Larch Valley and subsidiary camp at Lake O'Hara, including Christina Henry's climbs, camp environs, ACC members and also the ACC clubhouse and guests at Banff. Henry's companions were Nan MacKay, Librarian at the U. of S., and Edith MacKay, a Saskatoon teacher. The second part of the album documents Henry's trip to Britain and Switzerland, ca.1923. Her companion for this trip appears to be Nan MacKay. Portion of European section is published photographs. The creator has provided captions.
