Bio/Admin History:Walter Dwight Wilcox, 1869-1949, was an American mountaineer, explorer, writer and businessman who climbed and explored in mountain regions of Canada and the United States. Wilcox was an original member of the American Alpine Club and an honorary member of the Alpine Club of Canada and was the author of numerous papers and books.
Scope/Content:Fonds consists of copies of lithographed photographic images of mountains and mountain scenes from Wilcox's books, "Camping in the Canadian Rockies" (1896) and "The Rockies of Canada" (1909). Also includes print titled "Moraine Lake" and signed: Walter D. Wilcox.
