| Description: | Consists of a calendar of pictographs, recording significant annual events for the North Peigan Nation of the Blackfoot Confederacy, from 1764 to 1910. The winter count was compiled ca. 1910 by Bull Plume, and records battles and deaths, the arrival of diseases like smallpox and measles, the disappearance of the buffalo, the signing of Treaty 7, and the death of Queen Victoria. The volume also lists the leaders of the Blackfoot, and includes drawings of material culture items.
